A thrilling musical ride through the prairie by Hugo Riesenfeld (1879-1939), a famous composer of silent film music in the 1920s and 30s. Riesenfeld wrote the composition for theater orchestra (in both small and large scorings); the piano version offered here is based on the piano reduction or „piano accompaniment“, first published in 1918 by G. Schirmer, New York.
The Allegro was designed specifically for Western scenes—in Riesenfeld’s own words: For „Camping, mining, cowboys, stampedes, bar-rooms, gambling houses, etc.“ Have fun!

They can’t adequately reproduce the wonderful sound of a piano. Use your hi-fi system! Or better yet: a really awesome PA system at your next party 😉
